Paid close to $500 to fix a broken door knob and install a new one. Service was quick. Called on a weekend to fix a door knob that had a broken latch inside, taking the door knob apart didn't work so and couldn't get the door open. It was a regular interior door knob, nothing fancy. The cheapest door knob you'd find at a home depot. Arrived about an hour after I called. Told the person on the phone what the issue was and never asked how much it would cost. I don't know why I didn't ask, I wish I had. Two guys came inside and they used some type of square bag that inflated with a hand pump. They stuck that between the frame and the door, pumped it up and used a screw driver to push in the latch. Took less than 2 minutes. The main guy asked if I wanted to install a new knob and I said yes. Again, I didn't ask how much it would cost and it was a regular door knob, nothing fancy. The second guy started installing the door while the main guy was writing up the receipt. The door knob was installed even before the receipt was complete. Didn't realize it would cost me $215 to get a cheap $10 door knob installed. Anyway, ask for all the prices up front. The total was $478.99, $29.95 (no description for this charge was written on the receipt which I didn't realize until I was writing this review), $195 (Door Lockout), $215 (New Lock), $439.95 (Sub-total) $39.04 (Tax) = $478.99 Grand Total.
